I'm Vinay.
I am a Student at UC Berkeley studying EECS. I started coding during the COVID pandemic and instantly loved it. My goal as a software engineer is to build impactful applications and research cutting-edge AI technology for people all across the world.
My primary technical focus areas include Full-Stack Web Development (TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node.js), Mobile App Development (SwiftUI, React Native), Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, Firebase, Supabase), and LLM / AI Systems Research.
Outside of engineering, I enjoy listening to music, playing basketball, mentoring aspiring programmers, and exploring new culinary spots.
What Defines Me
Curious
I have always loved asking questions and figuring out how things work beneath the surface. When I run into a technology or problem I do not understand yet, I dive right in and learn everything I can about it until it makes sense.
Driven
When I commit to a project or idea, I give it my full energy and focus. I genuinely enjoy putting in the extra hours to polish small details, solve tricky bugs, and bring ideas to life from start to finish.
Resourceful
Building software often means facing unexpected roadblocks and unfamiliar APIs. I take pride in staying calm under pressure, testing different angles, and finding creative workarounds when standard solutions do not work out of the box.
Empathetic
At the end of the day, tech is all about people. I care deeply about how users feel when using software and how my teammates feel working together. I listen closely, share what I learn, and build with real human needs in mind.
